For weeks, 1st LT. Daniel Vorsky had been working with Musselman Jewelers owner, Tom Anderko, on finding the perfect ring to ask Tom’s daughter to marry him. The fact that Vorsky is currently stationed in South Korea meant for many very early morning conversations. The phone calls and hard work paid off recently when Vorsky made a surprise trip to a Philadelphia Flyers game to surprise Revé Anderko with the proposal of a lifetime.
Revé, a Bethlehem resident and Moravian College graduate, was approached by Philadelphia Flyers reps to be a part of an intermission game. What Revé didn’t know was that Vorsky had worked with the Flyers in advance to make the game a marriage proposal.
“As we stood their in front of the cameras, all I could think of was, ‘I'm going to get the trivia question wrong in front of 30,000 plus people,’” Revé said. “All of sudden the host began talking about Dan and I was a bit confused. I looked up and on the jumbotron was a message from him. The host turned me around and opened the box and there he was on one knee. That moment was absolutely perfect! I was in shock that he was home and I was even more surprised that he was asking me to marry him.”

Of course, Revé said yes and the rest, as they say, is history. Fortunately, the Philadelphia Flyers recorded the whole event on video and shared it on their Facebook page the same night!
“It was very special for me to be able to help Dan pick the perfect ring,” Tom Anderko, the owner of Musselman Jewelers at 420 Main Street in Bethlehem, said. “We couldn’t have asked for a better person to be a part of our daughter’s life.”
